PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To award a contract to Universal Civils & Build Ltd at a cost of £278,397.08 forthe refurbishment of Fairfax Community Centre.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

A procurement exercise was undertaken through the UK Leisure Framework. The scheme is programmed to commence on site in May 2024 and is due to be on site for around 3 months.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service.

RECOMMENDATION

That a construction contract be awarded to Universal Civils & Build Ltd.
